Towed Salt Spreader RIKO VP The towed salt spreader VP has proven to be a highly reliable machine through years of development and use, requiring minimal maintenance and offering simple operation. It is designed for spreading sand, salt, and other spreading materials of appropriate granulometry, as well as their mixtures, on local and regional roads. The spreader is mounted to the vehicle using guide chains and a towing hitch, while loading is performed by tipping the truck bed. The towed spreader does not require a hydraulic system, as the spreading mechanism is driven via a chain transmission from the left wheel. This means the operation is speed-dependent, while the spreading rate remains constant. Long service life is ensured by hot-dip galvanization and a final coating in RAL 2011 or according to customer requirements.
